How to open a new chart?

     1. Using the Standard Toolbar

If the standard toolbar is not shown in your MetaTrader 4, you need to open it.

In order to see how to open the toolbar you can follow the instruction below:

  • Click on the “view” from the top menu and choose the “Toolbar” from drop down list, then select “Standard”.

The standard toolbar must be visible now.

  • By clicking on the “New Chart” icon from the standard toolbar, you can open a new chart.

     2. Using the File Menu

  • Click on the “file” from the top menu, choose “New Chart” in order to open a new chart.

    3. Using the Market Watch window

If the “Market Watch” window is not visible initially:

The fastest way to open the “Market Watch” window is by using its shortcut <Ctrl+M>

or you can visit this page:Market Watch

  • Click on a symbol in the “Market Watch” window which you want to trade, then drag and drop it to the existing chart or blank space on the platform.

     4. Using the Window Menu

  • Click on the “Window” from the top menu, then click on the “New Window” and choose one of the instruments from drop down list in order to open a new chart.
