How to fix the “Common Error” in MetaTrader 4? 

 

There are different reasons for occurring the “Common Error” message in MetaTrader 4. It occurs mostly due to slow internet connection or no connection.  MetaTrader 4 always needs a direct internet connection with a stable speed in order to stay connected.

Please try the following procedures to resolve this issue:

 

  • Close the platform and restart your computer.

  • Check your internet connection, turn off/restart your router then turn it on after a minute.

  • Try to disable anti-virus software or internet security programs.

  • Try to log in to your MT4 by using another computer to see whether it is a connection or computer problem.

  • Make sure you have selected the correct server at Log-In window.

  • Click on the connection bars in the right bottom corner of the platform, choose “Rescan servers” then close and open the MT4.
